Philosophers views on moral dilemmas?
The biggest issue that I can derive from this is simple. What is a moral relativist? I mean, I know what it is but, morality is not relative. This is what I mean. Murder is wrong. Regardless of how a society regards it. So to answer your question. Morality is a separate issue than socially accepted norms. There are people who think there is nothing wrong with acts with children. Morally they are wrong and socially they are wrong. There are people who think there is nothing wrong with marijuana use. Morally they stand on their own, socially they are wrong, and as far as a custom, they probably fit right in the middle. So, regardless of native customs or religion. In civilization, there have to be socially responsible people.
